Assessing the State of Social Capital in order to Improve the Knowledge ‎and Ability of the Nursing ‎ ‎(Study Case of Shahid Chamran Hospital) ‎

Introduction: The existence of social capital in the nursing staff of hospitals makes the roles and synergy of activities clearer and enriches the knowledge and human skills and abilities of the nursing staff. Today, social capital is a force and a platform for success for organizations. And it is considered to improve their status. This research was carried out with the aim of investigating and evaluating social capital in order to improve the knowledge and ability of the nursing staff of Shahid Chamran Hospital. ,
Methods: The research method is survey type. In this research, the statistical population is all the nurses of Shahid Chamran Hospital, Borujard. The approach of this research is quantitative and it is an applied research. The data collection tool is a questionnaire that was made by the researcher and its face validity was confirmed and implemented by an experienced professor at the university. Inferential statistics and z-test methods were used to test the research hypothesis
Results: The findings of the research show that social capital is desirable from the point of view of the nursing staff of Shahid Chamran Borujerd. Also, the organizational behavior and interactions in the nursing department were favorable and respectful, but the state of coordination and cohesion in the hospital was evaluated as weak and unfavorable.
Conclusion: The results showed that the social capital in the nursing staff of Borujerd Hospital is favorable. Social capital as a key competence is necessary for the organizational complex and is considered an advantage.
