Spiritual intelligence relationship with conflict management strategies in the complex academic staff PayambarAezam of Mazandaran Medical Sciences University

Background:The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between spiritual intelligence with conflict management strategies in the complex academic staff PayambarAezam of Mazandaran Medical Sciences University.
Method: This study is applied and the method is descriptive and correlational.The population of all employees in Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences University complex academic staff PayambarAezam are 450. And on the table Morgan (1970) 210 stratified random sampling based on gender were selected as sample. To collect the data, spiritual intelligence King (2008) with 24 questions and four elements (critical thinking, meaning production, personal, the transcendent knowledge and development of consciousness) and conflict management strategy Putnam and Wilson questionnaire with 30 questions in three dimensions (avoidance strategies, solution-oriented and control) is used.
Results: Tools face and content validity was confirmed by experts and their reliability using Cronbach's alpha coefficient for Spiritual Intelligence Questionnaire 852/0 = α and Conflict Management Strategies questionnaire 73/0 = α is obtained. To analyze the data using Pearson correlation, t-test, ANOVA and regression were used.
The result:The results showed that, between spiritual intelligence strategies (avoidance and solution-oriented) in a positive and significant relationship exists. But there is no significant relationship between spiritual intelligence and control strategies. Between spiritual intelligence and conflict management strategies in staff by gender and level of education there is no significant difference. he test results showed that the solution-oriented strategy had the greatest association with spiritual intelligence. |
