Relationship between Social Capital and Development Management

Background and purpose: The major goal of this research is to study the relationship between social capital and development management in Islamic Azad University, Sari branch. There are four special aims that investigate the relation between social partnership, social cohesion, social confidence and development management; and the power of anticipating of development management by dimensions of social capital.
Materials and methods: The research method was descriptive, correlation. Statistical population faculty members of Islamic Azad University, Sari branch. According to Krejcie and Morgan’s table, 113 people were selected by random sampling method. In order to gather data two questionnaires were used: social capital and development management. The Reliability of questionnaires was calculated which respectively was 0/88 and 0/92. Data was analyzed by using Mean, Standard Deviation, Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient and Multivariable Regression.
Results: Findings revealed that there is a positive and statistical relationship between social capital and its three dimensions including social partnership, social cohesion, social confidence; and development management. Also dimensions of social capital can anticipate development management.
Conclusion: The result is that university executives need to make their best efforts in creating and maintaining social capital in their organization because it is one of the most important assets of any organization. |
